As avid followers of The Perth Property Co.’s Instagram account, the former owners of this home looked no further than us when they put their home on the market recently. Impressed by our Style Stage Sell service, they were thrilled when we agreed to head out to Aveley to help them with the sale.
Having outgrown the home, built in 2008, the family of five was ready to move on to a bigger place that offered more space and separation of living zones – essential for busy family life.
Over the years, they had made some fantastic improvements to their home – they renovated the kitchen and laundry, installed a pool and invested in landscaping, decking and aggregate pathways. Yet, with three young kids, the house was in a state of delightful chaos. But that’s where we stepped in.
The transformation
We decided on a partial stage to transform their home from a vibe that could best be described as ‘family chaos’ to something that was much more market ready. Ultimately it was about making sure that the home reached its potential.
Dining area: We swapped out the dining chairs for stylish boucle La Forma ones and added Globewest bar stools to the kitchen. The effect was immediate – the spaces instantly looked more modern and inviting. We added a rug under the dining table too while a new console helped further transform this area.

Living room: We replaced the living room’s two existing chairs with a new Globewest sofa and added a rug to help define the zones within the home’s open-plan design. We also added a new coffee table and accessories.

Theatre: The addition of a coffee table and rug instantly updated this space and made it feel much cosier. Plants and accessories were the finishing touch.

Bedrooms: We brought in new bed linens for the home open – we placed them over the existing doonas for the photos and viewings, then neatly packed them away afterward.

Decor: Cushions, artwork, plants, and various accessories were added throughout the home. All of these items made a big difference to the final result.
The outdoors: Given the family had no outdoor furniture, we added a lounge and dining table to create an inviting alfresco space.

The result
After decluttering and organising, the house felt enormous. The effort paid off with the house selling in just one weekend for an impressive $905,000. It’s a fantastic price for Aveley which is located on the doorstep of the Swan Valley.
Our client was so delighted with the transformation that she fell in love with the new boucle chairs and all the changes, humorously declaring, “We’re not selling, it looks so good!” We’ve promised to help her deck out her new place once it’s built, ensuring her new home is just as beautiful.
