What’s Trending in Home Styling

If you’ve spent any time scrolling through Instagram or Pinterest lately, I’m sure you’ll agree that home styling trends are constantly evolving. While we love keeping up with the latest looks, the best styling isn’t about following trends for the sake of it – it’s about creating a home that feels warm, welcoming and memorable.

When we’re preparing homes for sale, we draw inspiration from what’s happening in the world of interiors, while always making sure the home feels authentic to the people who live there (and also appeals to the right buyer).

Here are a few of the styling trends we’re loving right now.

Soft Curves & Sculptural Shapes

The era of sharp corners and rigid lines is softening. Rounded sofas, curved armchairs, arched mirrors and sculptural décor are everywhere – and for good reason.

Organic shapes create flow, soften a space and instantly make a room feel more relaxed and inviting. Even introducing one or two curved pieces can completely change the feel of a room.

Warm, Earthy Colour Palettes

Cool greys are making way for richer, more inviting tones. Think: terracotta, burgundy, warm browns, olive greens and natural timber finishes.

These colours bring warmth and depth to a home, creating spaces that feel comfortable and lived in rather than clinical and, well, boring. It’s no surprise that so many of the newest pieces we’ve added to our styling inventory feature these earthy hues – and they work beautifully across a wide range of homes.

Sheer Curtains That Let the Light In

Sometimes the simplest changes have the biggest impact.

Sheer curtains continue to be one of our favourite styling tools. They soften natural light, add texture and help rooms feel brighter, lighter and more spacious. They also create an effortless sense of luxury without overwhelming a space. Dan is becoming an expert at hanging them.

The Biggest Trend of All? Individuality

Perhaps the biggest trend we’re seeing isn’t a particular colour or furniture style – it’s authenticity.

Perfectly matched furniture is giving way to layered, collected interiors. Vintage finds, meaningful work, treasured pieces and natural textures all help create homes with character – and that’s something we’ve always believed in.

When we style a home, we don’t want to erase the personality that’s already there. Instead, we work with what our clients already own, thoughtfully editing, rearranging and enhancing each space to tell its story. Where needed, we’ll introduce carefully selected styling pieces that complement the home rather than compete with it.

After all, buyers aren’t just purchasing a floor plan – they’re imagining a lifestyle.

That’s why every property we sell benefits from our complimentary Style, Stage, Sell service. It’s our way of ensuring every home is presented at its absolute best before it reaches market; using thoughtful styling to help buyers fall in love from the moment they walk through the door.
